Automotive & Design Engineer
Ibrahim Reda Wasfy is an Automotive Engineer with end-to-end vehicle development experience across four competition builds, spanning engineering calculations, CAD design, simulation, manufacturing, assembly, and testing. He has demonstrated leadership as Team Leader of Helwan Formula Student and Head of Vehicle Dynamics at Helwan Racing Team, directing multidisciplinary subteams and managing full project lifecycles. He is seeking an engineering role to apply his competition-tested, hands-on foundation across the full automotive development process.

4 ProjectsFormula Student One-Seater Racing Car
Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with Formula Student requirements.Designed and optimized the vehicle steering system, including Ackermann geometry and steering components. Developed and validated rack-and-pinion steering assemblies using CAD, performing design iterations to improve steering response, effort, and packaging constraints.
Gasoline Urban Car
Designed, manufactured, and tested a gasoline urban car from concept to competition, following a full calculation, design, manufacturing, and testing process for Shell Eco-marathon 2025.
Electric Urban Car
Built an electric urban car from scratch, progressing through calculation, design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing stages to participate in EVER Egypt.

Experience
Re-established the Helwan Formula Student Racing Team after an 11-year absence.
Led a multidisciplinary team of 10 engineers to develop a Formula Student car for FSUK competition.
Directed vehicle dynamics development, including steering geometry design and Ackermann optimization, for Helwan Formula Student.
Led the Vehicle Dynamics department at Helwan Racing Team (E-Rally), managing budget, timelines, and manufacturing execution.
Achieved 1st Place (Overall Dynamic Track, Design, Cost) at EVER Egypt competition.
