MDS - Full-Stack E-commerce Application

Replaced a fragmented, manually-managed product catalog with a scalable e-commerce platform capable of organizing thousands of dental products across a structured category hierarchy, while giving the business owner real-time inventory and margin control over every restock. Performance optimization work reduced average page response times by roughly 85–90% (from 1.5–2s down to 150–250ms), directly improving the experience for customers in the target regional market.

A Full-stack e-commerce platform built for a dental supply business, taking it from a fragmented catalog to a structured online store for the regional market. Working directly with the owner, I designed a data model reflecting how the business actually operates — a clear category and product hierarchy with accurate variant-level pricing, stock, and cost tracking, including a full restocking and margin-calculation workflow. The platform includes a secure admin dashboard alongside the storefront, with performance work that cut response times from multiple seconds to under 250ms.

Trackr- Full-Stack Job Application Tracker

Achieved seamless UX across mobile and desktop, with instantly reflecting optimistic updates and shareable, bookmarkable, and refresh-safe filtered views.

Built a full-stack job search management tool with a responsive dashboard supporting inline editing, real-time search, and bulk operations. Features secure custom authentication, persistent cookie sessions, and server state management with optimistic updates.

clickTik E-Commerce

Improved browsing performance and user flow, ensuring a consistent user experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes through fully responsive layouts.

Developed a full-featured e-commerce platform using Angular and TypeScript, integrating RESTful APIs for dynamic product filtering, JWT authentication, and responsive cart management.

Experience

2026

Frontend architecture & UX — Rebuilt the site's navigation and filtering experience with a server-rendered data-fetching approach, cascading category/sub-category filters, and a redesigned mobile and desktop navigation menu — focused on speed, clarity, and mobile-first usability.

2026

Storefront performance optimization — Diagnosed and resolved a major latency bottleneck by combining server-side caching, database connection pooling, targeted indexing, and datacenter region alignment — cutting average page response times from 1.5–2s down to 150–250ms for real users.

2026

Catalog architecture & data modeling — Designed a multi-tier product catalog (category → sub-category → product → variant) from scratch, translating the business owner's real-world merchandising logic into a normalized relational schema that scales to thousands of products without sacrificing query performance or data integrity.

2026

Type-safe, database-driven engineering — Engineered the application's TypeScript types to be derived directly from the database schema rather than hand-maintained, eliminating an entire class of runtime data mismatches between the backend and frontend.

2026

Admin inventory & restocking system — Built a transactional purchasing workflow letting the business owner log supplier invoices, auto-calculate selling prices from cost and margin, and update stock across multiple products at once — with full historical cost tracking so past profit and spend figures stay accurate even as prices change.

2026

Secure admin authentication — Implemented two-factor authentication for the admin dashboard, combining password verification with a time-limited one-time code and account lockout protections, to protect sensitive business and customer data from unauthorized access.

2026

Infrastructure & deployment (in progress) — Currently leading the transition from serverless hosting to a self-managed, containerized deployment on a dedicated server, including automated HTTPS, CI/CD pipelines, and full ownership of backup and uptime strategy — aimed at reducing hosting costs and increasing infrastructure control as the platform scales.

2025

Architected e-commerce checkout flows, increasing conversion rate by 12% and reducing cart abandonment through UX optimizations.
